Seaplace wants to join to the team a PhD Engineering degree preferably in the field of Structural Concrete Engineering.
Role description:
- Perform structural design of floating offshore wind platforms
- Develop design briefs, reports and specifications.
- Assess on material selection for compliance.
- Produce and review engineering drawings.
- Undertake technical reviews equipment and foundations.
- Produce structural systems analysis and recommendations.
- Participate in workshops, meetings and risk assessments
Candidates shall be experienced with some or all of the following topics:
- Design of offshore concrete structures
- Knowledge and interest in floating wind
- Experience in structural subjects such as structural monitoring systems, structural dynamics, marine structure design, concrete fabrication, transportation and installation of offshore wind farms.
- Reinforce concrete mechanical properties and behaviour
- Offshore design codes and standards
- FEM Numerical analysis using ANSYS or similar
Academic qualifications:
- Must owns a PhD in civil or structural Engineering with relevant experience.
- High level of fluency in English and Spanish is required.
- Structural engineering background with focus on offshore structures

- Good communication (oral and written) skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Goal and solution-oriented
- Self-motivated with a drive for improvement and innovation
- Willingness to share experience
- Spanish work permit
